The Kennels at Strickland's Kennels
The kennel runs used by Strickland's Kennels are licensed by the American Kennel Club and manufactured by Jewett-Cameron Companies. The kennels use a 2 by 4 inch wire mesh composed of an all steel 8 gauge that provides a safe environment for the dogs. The wire mesh secures directly into the frame center where it is galvanized to prevent rust and sharp or jagged edges. The kennels also use a one inch extended base leg to elevate the kennel walls off the floor. This elevation prevents bacteria build-up and makes washing out easier. The doors are full swing, dog proof, lockable latch doors that open inward or outward for maximum versatility.
Our kennels are washed out at least twice daily and sanitized with chlorine each morning. This maintenance ensures a clean, safe, and healthy environment for the dogs.
This is a small training pond that is located on the kennel’s property. The pond is used to run the dogs on swim by exercises, avoid decoys, and puppy swimming. The parameters of this pond are thirty five (35) feet wide and sixty (60) feet long.
This is the side lot on the property that is used for training exercises such as handling drills, advanced force fetching drills, and technical marks with and without the pond.
Shown below are pictures of a new pond that was just recently finished here on the kennels property. This pond is in the shape of an L and will be used for channel drills, as well as technical blinds, and marks. The parameters of this are twenty five (25) wide, the longest section is One Hundred ten (110) feet long, and the shirt section is eighty (80) long.
