Breeding at Strickland's Kennels
We take pride in 14 years of retriever breeding focused on producing quality hunting dogs, hunt test or field trial dogs, and on well mannered companions. Our Labrador puppies are primarily black & yellow, but with the right stud chocolates are possible. With clients throughout the North Carolina, the dogs we breed have become known for their outstanding temperament and trainability.
Our breeding philosophy is to produce quality, sound, all-purpose Retrievers, Chesapeake’s, Labs or Golden's, while maintaining good looks and complying with the AKC Breed's Standards. The main goal, above all, is to produce a well-rounded, hard working, loving and loyal companion.
All dogs are bred with a gentle temperament, perfect for children without sacrificing an outstanding pedigree for hunting or field trial Champions.
Strickland's Kennels has breed Reload to GG on Sept. 1st, 2008. The breeding was a success. GG whelped 10 puppies on Nov. 1st, 2008. There were 4 males & 6 females. Strickland's Kennels is planning to breed Bell's Little Lady JH "Lady" to Astro. Lady is an AKC title junior hunter that is out of two AKC titled master hunters. Astro is also out of two AKC titled master hunters. Both dogs are chocolate factored so we expect the litter to be black & chocolate puppies. This breeding should turn out dogs that will make excellent hunting dogs, hunt test / field trial dogs and great companions. Please check back to this page for further up dates on this breeding.
